How to reach Sikkim?

By Air: There is no airport in Sikkim but it is very much accessible to the nearest airport in Bagdogra in Western Bengal. The airport is 124 km from Gangtok, and Bagdogra takes approximately 5 hours.

By Train: The main railway lines near Gangtok are New Jalpaiguri (188 km) and Siliguri (145 km). These railway stations have good links with major Indian cities. The railway stations are connected by regular trains.

By Road: This path is well connected with major neighbouring cities i.e. Darjeeling, Kalimpong, New Jalpaiguri, Bagdogra etc.

Best time to visit Sikkim

The perfect time to visit Sikkim is summer i.e. between March to October. In the months from March to May, you’ll spend the best time in Sikkim if you want to experience the floral beauty of nature. The Himalayan Range is clearly visible in the air, in autumn. The winters are very cold and experience a snow fall therefore major of the sightseeing’s are not possible to visit.
