Rameshwaram holds a great significance in the Hindu Mythology, Ramayana. As stated in the mythology, Lord Rama built a bridge starting from this place to Lanka with the help of Hanuman to rescue his wife, Sita. How to reach Rameshwaram?

By Air: The nearest Airport is Madurai which is around 150 kms from Rameshwaram. Although there are few flights connectivity the alternate airport is Tuticorin Airport, Trichy located 145 kms from Madurai.

By Train: One can take a train to Rameshwaram as this place has major rail connectivity from Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Tanjavur, Palakkad Trichy and Bangalore.

By Road: Road route is best option if you plan to take a flight till Madurai or Trichy and want to cover other destinations like Madurai, Kanyakumari and Trivandrum.
