Important Information

Activities allowed for Tourist e-Visa Holder

Any Applicant who wants to travel India the purpose of tourism, visiting family, friends or relatives can apply for Tourist e-Visa. Tourist e-Visa holders are not allowed to work, volunteer or study etc.

Basic documents required to Apply Tourist e-Visa

  • Applicant Photo (51 mm x 51 mm) White background and 70% face focus with clear forehead.
  • 6 months valid Passport with two blank pages
  • Scan copy Personal Details page and last page (if applicable) of passport

Cost involved for Tourist E visa

The cost varies depending on your nationality and which validity you select (1 month, 1 year or 5 years). If you want to apply through us we shall charge you a fee USD 8 above the visa fees (The fees involved is non-refundable at any circumstances).

India Tourist e-Visa Validity, Number of Entries and Max Stay

There are 3 options for India Tourist e-Visa validity. They are:

1. One Month e-Tourist Visa

Duration: One Month (30 Days).

Entries: Double Entry, non-extendable and non-convertible

2. One year e-Tourist Visa

Duration: One year (365 Days) from the date of grant of ETA.

Entries: Multiple

3. Five years e-Tourist Visa

Duration: Five years from the date of grant of ETA.

Entries: Multiple

Note:

  • For all above options – Continuous stay during each visit shall not exceed 90 days for countries except USA, UK, Canada and Japan.
  • The validity of visa starts from the date of issuance of the visa.

Best time to apply Tourist E-visa

One may apply for Tourist E-visa 10 days – 120 days prior to your intended arrival date of travel.

Applicants are allowed to apply for E-visas twice in a Calendar year i.e. January to December

Extending the Tourist E-visa

The Indian e-Visa is non-extendable.

Visa on Arrival (VoA) Facility

This facility is only for the nationals of Japan, South Korea and UAE (only for such UAE nationals who had earlier obtained e-Visa or regular/paper visa for India). All other nationals must hold Tourist E-Visa and show at the port of arrival in India.

Visa for transiting through India

Applicants who are taking transit through India without leaving the airport then you do not need visa. If you wish to leave the transit airport you will have to obtain e visa prior to you arrival.

Require printed copy of Tourist E-visa

Yes, we suggest you take a print out of your e-visa and present it to the airlines or immigration officer. One may keep the soft copy of it as provide if required.

In case of current passport is New and E-visa Applied on Old passport

No, you have to present the same arrive India on same passport on which e-visa were applied.

Yellow fever vaccination

India will require proof of yellow fever vaccination if you are arriving from a country with risk of yellow fever. You can see more information here.
